Kavithalayaa a film production company that had its beginning in the year 1981 is a well-known name in India, started by the veteran filmmaker Padmashri and Dada Saheb Phalke Awardee (2010) K. Balachander . Kavithalayaa has produced over 50 films as on date. They are now one of the biggest film production company in south India, consistently making successful films. Their output has been abundant, and their films have repeatedly proved that commerce and art can blend. They have made films in four major Indian Languages Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam and Kannada.
